The Good Friday Procession in Maglie, born on 20 April 1924, turned 100 years old this year. The Board of Directors chaired by Elio Costante, among the various initiatives to celebrate this important milestone, has decided to open the wardrobes of the Mother Church where the ‘MYSTERIES’ are kept and, coinciding with the Taste Market, to offer the faithful and tourists visiting the Salento the chance to learn about the history of the procession with anecdotes and curiosities told directly by the protagonists, and to admire the statues themselves, the work of Salento’s master papier-mâché artists, up close.
Starting on Monday 29 July and until Sunday 11 August from 19:00 to 23:00, it is possible to visit the Mystery Exhibition located in Maglie, Via Roma 78.
